Leveling Tips

  • Aim for recipes that are 10-15 levels above your current skill level. This will often maximize your skill-up gains.
  • You cannot skill-up past your current capped rank. Make sure you rank up on the 8’s (8, 18, 28, etc), to avoid losing skill-ups.
  • Many items can be sold back to the Guild Vendor to recoup costs. Be sure to check both Guild Vendors when selling back items. Buyback prices and availability may differ between the two.
  • Numerous recipes also have a corresponding desynthesis recipe, which can be used to skill-up as well (e.g. Silver Hairpin can be desynthed back to a silver ingot).
  • Skill-up rate is increased via certain items and foods.
  • Items with +Crafting Skill and Guild Support will increase your effective level (e.g. If you are Alchemy 10, and equip a Kupo Shield, your effective level will be 13).
  • Using skill enhancing gear, food, and effects may help you reach higher level crafts to skill up on sooner, but also slow down your rate of skill-ups for crafts (the lower the level gap, the lower chance for skill-up).
  • Rare materials may be found on the Crafting Merchants.
  • Signed items require the use of an high-quality crystal. Normal and high-quality crystals may be obtained through the !shop 2 command.

What are Crafting Kits?

Crafting Kits (e.g. Alchemy Kit 10, etc) are sold by the Guild Merchants at their respective guild. The first 50 or so levels can be expedited using Guild Kits. As you start to close in on the cap of the item, it’s often best to move to the next kit (e.g. When skilling up on Clothcraft Kit 10, you may want to switch to Clothcraft Kit 15 once your skill-ups start slowing down.)
