Jobs, Magic, and Abilities

There are a ton of iconic abilities and spells in FFXI… that could use some love after all of these years.

As the focus on the server is the constant use of weaponskills and rapid combat, adding additional buffs and debuffs adds some flair to the numerous combinations.

Our goal will be to help incorporate some of the additional benefits retail’s Job Points provides… without it getting too overpowered.

Jobs, abilities, weaponskills, and magic are constantly being evaluated and tuned based on player feedback, communinity growth, and changes in the retail community.

Several jobs, magic, and abilities have been altered to better match the play style found on Nocturnal Souls. In addition to tweaks, some jobs have additional abilities and spells not found in retail.

Jobs

Many jobs have additional skills, traits, and/or learn abilities at different levels. In addition, some abilities have been tuned to properly scale to the player buffs provided by the server.

Magic

In addition to granting players all magic from the start, many spells also have been adjusted to provide benefits scaled to the challenges of the Nocturnal Souls community.

Weaponskills

Several weaponskills are tuned to have additional effects and/or different potencies.
