Starter Quest

Lakeside Minuet

Quest works as per retail; requires access to the Wings of the Goddess zones (a Pure White Feather).

Abilities

Curing Waltz IV

  • Now works with Dancer Lv99 being a subjob.
  • Curing Waltz IV’s subjob formula is now (vit+chr) * 0.5 + 450

Climactic Flourish

  • Adds critical hit rate based on steps consumed and critical hit damage based on 10% of the player’s total CHR.
  • Duration is 10s base, adding 5s per finishing move (simulating that more FMs in retail mean more hits).
  • CUSTOM: The buff does not wear on first hit, but sustains for the duration.
  • CUSTOM: Forces a first-hit critical hit on weaponskills, similar to Mighty Strikes.

Striking Flourish

  • Adds double attack rate based on steps consumed and double attack damage bonus based on 10% of the player’s total CHR.
  • Has a fixed duration of 60s as it no longer wears off on first melee hit.
  • CUSTOM: The buff does not wear on first hit, but sustains for the duration.

Ternary Flourish

  • Adds 15% triple attack rate at the cost of three steps.
  • Has a fixed duration of 20s as it no longer wears off on first melee hit.
  • CUSTOM: The buff does not wear on first hit, but sustains for the duration.

Fan Dance

  • Fan Dance’s enmity has been increased from +15 to +25.
  • Provides an additional +25 defense, evasion, and magic evasion while the effect is active.

Saber Dance

  • Saber Dance’s double attack has been increased from 50% decaying to 20% to 75% decaying to 30%.

Presto

  • CUSTOM This works more along the lines of how it worked originally by adding an additional step, potency, and accuracy to the next step.
  • We are reviewing this ability and its potency due to our shorter recast times and high TP rates and it may change in the future.

Grand Pas

  • CUSTOM This ability has been added and works similar to retail, but wears off when three steps are used, not when three finishing moves are consumed.
  • On use, the ability immediately resets the recast of all flourishes.
  • Allows players to use flourishes without finishing moves and does not consume active finishing moves.
  • Steps do not consume TP and can be instantly recast.
  • The effect ends in 30s or after 3 steps are used.

Feather Step

  • CUSTOM This ability has been added and works similar to retail. Feather Step increases the rate at which the target takes critical hits. This can counter enemies who have high critical hit resistance and make it possible to hit them with critical hits.
  • This ability, for now, is a custom ability that does not benefit from bonuses on the reforged empyrean gear. We will be evaluating the overall impact of this skill and its scaling due to how easy critical hit is to obtain on the server.
    • Bewildered Daze 1 = Crit Hit Rate +3%
    • Bewildered Daze 2 = Crit Hit Rate +5%
    • Bewildered Daze 3 = Crit Hit Rate +7%
    • Bewildered Daze 4 = Crit Hit Rate +9%
    • Bewildered Daze 5 = Crit Hit Rate +10%

Traits

Dual Wield Skill

Dancers now gain an additional Dual Wield V rank trait at level 99.

Main Job Only

The following abilities are only available when dancer is the character’s main job.
