Heroics
Heroics is a new system allowing players to complete missions increase their infamy throughout the land. Infamy points can then be used for rewards, currency, and even permanent buffs on players.
Heroics are targeted at level 99 players, however, the benefits of heroics applies to all levels on the player. Players, on reaching level 99, are advised to begin unlocking Heroics and then unlocking each coalition as they progress through endgame.
Requirements
To get started with Heroics, all players must meet the following requirements:
- Level 99 main job and sub job
- Completion of the Adventure Quest
- Completion of the Rise of the Zilart expansion
- Completion of the Chains of Promathia expansion
- Completion of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion
Heroics Starter Mission
To get started with Heroics, visit Zezarn at (K-10) in Western Adoulin.
The starter mission consists of two parts. While on the second quest, players can acquire the materials through many means, including mog gardening, chocobo digging, fighting tier 4+ Reisenjima Henge encounters, and high level daily BCNMs (including the seasonal BCNMs).
These options will reward a ‘cache’ of materials on completion in addition to normal rewards. There is a limit to how many caches a player can receive, so use these items wisely for Zezarn’s quest. When you’re ready to turn in your caches and complete the quest, be sure to give them to Lakeria, not Zezarn.
You’ll want to have the Renamer addon loaded to make finding the NPCs easier.
Coalition Requirements
Once the Heroics system is unlocked, players must meet the minimum requirements for each coalition. Coalitions operate independently and must be opened individually.
- Peacekeepers: Complete at least one i119 III mythic weapon.
- Scouts: Reach rank 10 in the player’s current nation.
- Couriers: Reach skill level 100 in at least 4 synthesis crafts.
- Inventors: Reach skill level 15 in synergy crafting.
- Pioneers: Unlock and reach skill level 100 in both mog gardening and chocobo digging.
The completed mythic weapon must be in your inventory or mog house to be registered as completed. If you’ve moved these onto offline storage, the quest giver will not be able to find them and flag you for the quest.
Missions
To acquire daily missions, speak with the coalition’s Task Delegators in Western and Eastern Adoulin.
Missions provide large bonus of infamy points and have the potential to reward players with unique items on completion. Players can partake in missions from every coalition at the same time. Players have 4 hours to complete the mission or it expires and is no longer valid for turn in.
Speaking with the Task Delegator after receiving a mission will provide a reminder of the target and remaining time to complete the mission.
Each coalition has a unique focus on the types of missions they can provide:
- Peacekeepers: Hunting and defeating delves and reives in Ulbuka.
- Scouts: Defeating large scale amounts of normal monsters; typically in Seekers of Adoulin zones.
- Couriers: Delivering items created by players through synthesis.
- Inventors: Delivering items created by players through synergy.
- Pioneers: Finding “essences” through mog gardening or chocobo digging.
In addition to normal infamy rewards for mission completion, players can earn bonuses in two additional ways:
-
Players gain infamy by assisting others with their Peacekeeper missions. By assisting in the defeat of these HNMs, party members will receive half the value of the mission in infamy. This requires party members to have Heroics and the Peacekeepers coalition unlocked.
-
Players receive an infamy bonus after completing a set amount of missions for each coalition.
-
Peacekeepers: every 5 missions rewards 250 bonus infamy
-
Couriers: every 10 missions rewards 100 bonus infamy
-
Pioneers: every 10 missions rewards 100 bonus infamy
-
Inventors: every 10 missions rewards 100 bonus infamy
-
Scouts: every 5 missions rewards 150 bonus infamy
Players will receive a 25% additional infamy when infamy bonuses are completed on Mondays and Fridays!
Players can fast-travel throughout the Adoulin zones by speaking to the Waypoints in Western and Eastern Adoulin. The waypoints require a specific crystal for each of the zones and will teleport you.
Increasing Heroic Rank
As players complete missions and gain infamy, they can increase their Heroic Rank. Each Heroic Rank level has a required amount of infamy, a minimum amount of completed missions, and trade items to proceed to the next rank.
Heroic Rank | Infamy Cost | Completed Missions | Trade Items |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 125 | 10 | Beastmen’s Medals x10 |
2 | 1000 | 25 | Beastmen’s Medals x20 |
3 | 3500 | 75 | Kindred’s Medals x10 |
4 | 5500 | 125 | Beastmen’s Medals x20 Kindred’s Medals x20 |
5 | 6500 | 175 | Beastmen’s Medals x20 |
6 | 8500 | 225 | Beastmen’s Medals x30 Kindred’s Medals x30 |
7 | 10000 | 300 | Kindred’s Medals x40 |
8 | 12500 | 400 | Beastmen’s Medals x40 Kindred’s Medals x40 |
9 | 15000 | 500 | Beastmen’s Medals x40 Kindred’s Medals x40 |
10 | 17500 | 600 | Beastmen’s Medals x50 Kindred’s Medals x50 |
11 | 20000 | 700 | Beastmen’s Medals x50 Kindred’s Medals x50 |
The amount of completed missions does not align to the amount of infamy gained as there are additional ways to gain infamy as players gain heroic ranks, such as fighting and defeating NMs within Escha and Reisenjima. The completed missions simply act as a minimum basis for each rank.
Beastmen’s and Kindred’s Medals are common personal loot drops from Reisenjima Henge.
Once a player has acquired sufficient infamy, completed missions, and necessary trade items, trade them to Zezarn to increase your Heroic Rank.
!herostatus
The !herostatus
command provides players with a count of their completed missions for each coalition and total infamy.
Zone Unlocks
Once players gain sufficient Heroic Rank, portals to new zones will open up. These zones include very high level monsters, rare and challenging NMs, and new loot drops.
- Heroic Rank 4: Escha - Zi’Tah
- Heroic Rank 6: Reisenjima
- Heroic Rank 8: Escha - Ru’Aun
- Heroic Rank 10: Reisenjima Sanctorium
Full details of these zones will be added in future updates!
Rewards
Gaining infamy points provides players with access to a new infamy shop, the ability to convert infamy points to upgrade components, and access to three sets of Heroic Empowerments.
Infamy Shop
To view the Infamy shop, speak with Lakeria in Western Adoulin.
Players can use the infamy shop to purchase rare items, such as pop items, rare augments, armor upgrade components, and unique stylelock items. Each additional heroic rank adds more items into the infamy shop.
Lakeria also sells the ??? +1 items used by Malforne to apply Heroic Empowerments to players.
Heroic Empowerments
To activate a Heroic Empowerment, speak with Malforne in Western Adoulin.
Each Heroics rank provides players with access to the Heroic Empowerments. There are five types of empowerment: defensive, magic-focused, melee/ranged-focused, pet-focused, and crafting. Crafting is handled uniquely and detailed below.
Each rank bolsters the bonuses provided by the empowerment; however, only one empowerment can be active at at time. Once an empowerment is active, it’s active for all jobs, based on the minimum level requirement for activation of that rank.
Players are not limited to what job they can apply each empowerment–any job can use any empowerment.
The items required to change heroic empowerment attunement are available from Lakeria for 500,000 gil each once players reach Heroic Rank 1.

Crafting Heroic Empowerments
To activate a Crafting Heroic Empowerment, speak with Malforne in Western Adoulin.
Players who have reached Heroic Rank 1 can purchase the ??? Cloth from Lakeria for 250,000 gil. Unlike the combat heroic empowerments, the crafting empowerments are based on the number of completed Courier Coalition missions the player has completed and has no minimum level or other rank requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to unlock all or meet the requirements for all of the coalitions to start Heroics?
No, each coalition is unlocked separately after unlocking the Heroics system itself. Once the unlock requirements have been met for a coalition, players can begin missions for that coalition.
Can I use Fast Tracks to bypass the expansion completion requirements?
Yes, players can use Fast Tracks and will be properly flagged for Heroics.
What’s the fastest way to level infamy up?
Completing every coalition’s tasks as often as possible, of course, provides the maximum bonus. More difficult tasks, such as the Peacekeepers’s HNM hunting, do award more infamy, so ensuring you do those as often as possible will help keep your infamy up.
Can I have two types of empowerments on at the same time?
No, players can only have one type of empowerment active at a time.
When I level up to 10, 20, 30, etc., I don’t receive the upgraded empowerments. What’s wrong?
Correct, for each “rank” upgrade, you’ll need to zone out/zone in to refresh the buffs.
Can I help others with their heroic rank missions?
Yes, the players with the missions must have to be on the enmity list of the encounter when it dies to receive credit, but any number of participants can be engaged–group up with friends and linkshell members to speed up the missions! For Peacekeepers missions, party members share in the infamy rewards when assisting other players.
